Senior Cost Accountant

Role Overview
Responsible for accurate product costing, variance analysis, and financial insights within a manufacturing environment. This role partners with operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance to strengthen cost control, improve margins, and support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead

• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide actionable insights

• Perform cost roll-ups, margin analysis, and product cost evaluations

• Reconcile WIP, inventory, and cost of goods sold

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling

• Lead inventory counts and resolve production or material discrepancies

• Improve costing processes, reporting, and ERP workflows

• Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and management summaries

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements

• Assist with the month-end and year-end inventory and cost close

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Manufacturing cost accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, and inventory accounting

• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
