Role Overview

A results-driven Sales Engineer is sought to support growth in the Houston market. This remote-based role focuses on building and expanding customer relationships within industrial automation and manufacturing environments. The position combines technical expertise, business acumen, and relationship-building skills to help customers improve processes and drive measurable operational results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers to understand their operations, products, and improvement goals
  • Lead a structured sales process to define customer challenges and develop solution concepts
  • Identify decision-makers and key stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
  • Apply technical and application knowledge to deliver automation solutions
  • Communicate effectively through digital platforms, phone, and in-person meetings
  • Visit customer sites to evaluate equipment, troubleshoot applications, and present solutions
  • Proactively pursue new business opportunities and prospect for future growth
  • Stay current on automation industry trends and related technologies
  • Meet performance goals focused on sales growth and new customer acquisition
Qualifications
  • 3–7 years of technical sales experience preferred

  • Engineering or Business degree preferred

  • A background in industrial automation is an advantage

  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels

  • Ability to sell in both remote and face-to-face environments

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
