Senior Injection Molding Processor
Role Summary
The Senior Injection Molding Processor is responsible for optimizing and maintaining injection molding processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and minimal downtime. This role is highly hands-on and focuses on troubleshooting, process improvement, and supporting production teams on the floor.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes ownership of machine performance and process stability.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Shift Supervisor and collaborates with production teams and associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and optimize injection molding machines and processes
- Monitor machine performance and make real-time process adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Troubleshoot molding, tooling, and material issues to minimize downtime
- Support mold changes, startups, and process validation
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of machines and tooling
- Work closely with operators to ensure production targets and quality standards are met
- Maintain accurate production and process documentation
- Assist in training and guiding operators on best practices and process standards
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe production environment
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap
- Support production leadership and serve as a technical lead on the floor when needed
Required Skills & Competencies

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Strong troubleshooting skills in injection molding processes and tooling

Ability to operate and maintain assembly and production equipment

Effective leadership and supervision of the hourly workforce

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics injection molding
- Strong understanding of production equipment and mold-setting processes
- Working knowledge of resins and materials used in manufacturing
