About the Role

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist ECMO Specialist, you will play a central role on our pediatric ECMO team, providing advanced cardiopulmonary support to critically ill children. You'll work in high-acuity settings, collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, and contribute to life-saving interventions using state-of-the-art ECMO technology.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients in critical and emergent situations.

  • Operate and manage ECMO equipment during life-saving procedures as part of a specialized care team.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on patient treatment plans and interventions.

  • Participate in clinical decision-making, patient advocacy, and continuous quality improvement.

  • Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced therapists, supporting skill development and clinical excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.

  • Prior experience in pediatric critical care or ECMO environments strongly preferred.
