McGuire Fecarotta & Jackson has been engaged by a highly regarded law firm to assist in the search for a Senior Commercial Litigation Associate. This opportunity is ideal for a litigator seeking high-level responsibility in complex matters involving the energy industry and regulatory disputes.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced associate with 4 to 8 years of commercial litigation experience, ideally with a background or strong interest in energy-sector disputes and regulatory matters. This role offers regular courtroom exposure, strategic case involvement, and the opportunity to work closely with clients and senior attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for clients in commercial and regulatory litigation, including matters involving energy markets and utility regulation.
- Lead or support all phases of litigation pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial prep.
- Draft and argue motions; take and defend depositions; prepare trial materials and expert witness submissions.
- Engage directly with clients and collaborate with partners to develop and execute litigation strategy.
Candidate Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of commercial litigation experience, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with energy disputes, regulatory litigation, or proceedings before utility commissions.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to lead litigation workstreams independently and manage multiple active matters.
- Admission to the Texas Bar or eligibility to waive in is required.

Compensation:
