Position Details

  • Leadership role overseeing the Trauma Program and trauma care operations
  • Responsible for trauma program development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate closely with hospital leadership, physicians, nursing, and trauma services
  • Lead trauma performance improvement initiatives, morbidity & mortality reviews, and multidisciplinary trauma conferences
  • Participate in trauma education, policy development, and trauma research initiatives
  • Maintain active involvement in trauma patient care and physician leadership

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery
  • Current Maine medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • ATLS or CALS certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of trauma/emergency clinical experience
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and performance improvement skills
