About the job General Surgery APP
Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing General Surgery Clinic team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a motivated APP with surgical experience who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care in both the clinic and operating room settings.
Position Details
- Full-time position in General Surgery
- Based at 2222 West Division Street, Chicago, IL 60622
- Monday- Friday schedule, no call responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Serve as First Assist in the operating room
- Conduct pre- and post-operative patient evaluations
- Manage your own clinic patient panel with continuity of care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, fellow APPs, and support staff
- EMR documentation and surgical coordination responsibilities
- Minimum 2 years of APP experience required, including surgical assisting
Qualifications
- Licensed and certified as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Illinois
- Prior experience in General Surgery strongly preferred
- First Assist experience required
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Team-oriented and committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000.00 to $135,000.00 on an annualized basis.
