Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois is currently seeking dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing inpatient Gastroenterology team. Position Details

  • Full-time employment | Inpatient setting
  • Flexible Schedules: Option for 12-hour shifts or 8-hour shifts
  • No Call Requirements enjoy your personal time without after-hours interruptions
  • Multi-Site Role: Work between our Joliet location and Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Work alongside experienced gastroenterologists and support staff
  • Provide comprehensive GI care alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff
  • Conduct initial assessments, follow-ups, and manage inpatient consults and outpatient follow-up visits
  • Assist with procedures and ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in care coordination, documentation, and patient education.
  • State-of-the-Art Facilities with advanced GI diagnostic and treatment capabilities
Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Illinois.
  • Strongly preferred: 1+ year of experience in Gastroenterology or inpatient medicine.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive medical team.
  • EMR proficiency (experience with Epic is a plus).

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000-$140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
