Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our General Surgery team! This role covers inpatient and outpatient settings and includes surgical assisting, perioperative management, consults, and follow-up care.

Position Highlights
  • Will be employed by Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group
  • Full-time | Dayshift Schedule 8am-5pm | Mix of inpatient and outpatient |  limited weekends or call
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to general surgery patients.
  • Conduct inpatient rounds, perform focused history and physical examinations, document progress notes, and develop care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
  • Perform bedside procedures within scope of practice (e.g., suture removal, drain management, wound care).
  • Assist surgeons in the operating room as needed, including first assisting.
  • Manage patient flow in surgical clinics, including evaluation, follow-up, test review, and coordination of care.
  • Respond to inpatient consults in a timely manner and provide initial assessment with attending-to-attending communication.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Illinois.
  • National certification as an NP or PA required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $110,000-$130,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
