Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing company based in Mooresville, NC, known for their commitment to quality, safety, and employee satisfaction. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist or HR Manager to lead and strengthen their on-site people operations.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and is ready to take ownership of day-to-day HR responsibilities while shaping company culture and supporting the leadership team.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the HR Generalist/Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all human resources functions. This includes overseeing employee relations, compliance, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits coordination, and general HR administration.

The role is open to either:

  • A strong HR Generalist looking to take a step up into a leadership position, or

  • An experienced HR Manager seeking a people-first, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main HR representative for employees and leadership at the Mooresville facility

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring consistent and fair policy application

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Administer employee benefits in coordination with external vendors

  • Maintain accurate HR records, files, and HRIS data

  • Collaborate with Finance to support payroll and compensation processes

  • Advise and coach supervisors/managers on HR best practices and employee performance

  • Support the delivery of training, engagement, and development initiatives

  • Lead or assist in HR-related projects and continuous improvement efforts

  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HRBP, or HR Manager role

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is strongly preferred

  • Sound knowledge of federal and state labor/employment laws (NC-specific experience is a plus)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels

  • Proficient in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is advantageous but not essential
