Qualification:

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (or Equivalent) from a recognized

university. 

IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor.

Welding Inspector / Engineer, Painting Inspector, NDT Leve-2/3, API Certifications, or

similar qualification.

Membership / Certification from a recognized professional institution of relevance

(MCQI-CQP, ASQ-CMQ&OE) are desirable.

Experience:

15 years experience undertaking supplier QA/QC function in major Process Plants

(Refinery, NGL / LNG Plants, Petrochemical complex or similar) in Oil & Gas sector.

Experience in GCC is desirable. Sound working knowledge on QA/QC aspects of

Procurement, manufacturing, Inspection, Testing and acceptance criteria of various

Static / Rotating Equipment, Process piping components related to major Oil and Gas

Projects.

Worked with EPIC Contractors / End users / Third Parties, Performing, Coordinating

and Managing global Inspection / testing activities at vendor / Manufacturer works of

major process Plant Equipment / Materials in Oil & Gas industry and managed vendor

inspection teams.

Hands on experience in preparation, review, and approval of Procurement / Vendor /

Manufacturer Quality documents (Purchase Specifications, ITRs, MR, TBEs, Quality

Plans / ITPs / QCPs / FAT / Welding, NDT, HT, material testing and other Test Methods

& Procedures, MRBs, Inspection reports and release notes etc.,). Performing supplier

evaluation, qualification audits and performance monitoring.

Good Knowledge and experience in establishing and / or using the IT / Software

systems in the areas of supplier QA/QC, maintaining and reporting P.O /Equipment

wise status of vendor quality documents, Inspection Notifications, reports submission,

manufacturing, inspection, and test status etc.,

Good knowledge in understanding product marking (ASME/API/UL/FM) and

application of international Codes, Standards and practices (ASME, TEMA, ASTM,

API, ISO, BS EN, NACE, IOGP, Shell DEP, MESC spec etc.) and familiar with those

requirements relevant to the job function.

Ability to work well and effectively communicate and conduct pre-inspection meetings

with Contractor / Vendors / Manufacturers/ Third Party / End user personnel and

colleagues at all levels in multidisciplinary, and multicultural environment.

Experienced in implementing and conducting Pre-Qualification / QMS / Quality and

technical compliance checks and audits, Quality Walk through of EPIC organizations

and project activities.

Requires good knowledge of project features & Specialties with the ability to resolve

highly complex QA/QC related issues and disputes arising from incorrect and disparate

interpretations of Project technical requirements and Scope of work, by various parties involved in the project, including external authorities
