About the job Structural Engineering Lead (Civil) (WO-1135 )
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Knowledge and/or Experience
8 years diversified experience in Civil Engineering discipline in large oil & gas projects, with 5 years in engineering execution including knowledge of design standards, industry standards/codes/practices, onshore LNG facilities.
FEED experience is required.
Experience in large tank foundations design is an advantage
Brownfield engineering and execution knowledge
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Demonstrate personal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviours at all times. Perform as a safety leader through setting and exhibiting the highest safety standards of behavior and actions to the workforce.
2. Ensure civil and structural engineering activities are conducted in accordance with local regulatory requirements, codes and standards, project specifications and industry practices.
Ensure that Contractors/Subcontractors are conducting engineering design in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and safe practices.
3. Coordinate,analyse discipline issues for resolution and resolve civil structural discipline issues timely to ensure engineering designs meet NFW Offplot Projects expectations and objectives.
4. Ensure approved design recommendations and programs are utilized by the Project to improve design integrity, reduce inefficiencies, and maintain high safety and risks standards.
5. Steward Contractors civil structural design and execution activities in accordance to specifications, verify adequacy of Contractor resources and personnel competency for the tasks, employment of appropriate tools including use of approved technical software.
6. Provide Civil Strucutural engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, Quality etc as necessary. Support FEED, commissioning and system completion activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on civil structural discipline
matters.
7. Carry-out technical evaluations, including risk-based evaluation of complex engineering issues, resolution of electrical, telecom & Instrumentation related matters with significant project execution and/or commercial impact to ensure optimum outcomes to meet technical and
execution expectations.
8. Lead Civil & Structural interface coordination with NFW onplot, NFS off plot, RLIC, or anythird party, as required, during FEED/EPC.
9. Monitor discipline schedule and progress.
