Position Title: Clinical Ethics Specialist 

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and confidential ethics consultations to healthcare providers, staff, and patients/families facing ethical dilemmas.
  • Facilitate discussions and mediate conflicts related to patient care, resource allocation, and professional conduct.
  • Provide timely and confidential ethics consultations to healthcare providers, staff, and patients/families facing ethical dilemmas
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop, review and update ethical policies, guidelines and procedures in alignment with PHCCs mission and values.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international ethics standards and regulations
  • Design and deliver ethics training Programs for health care providers and staff to enhance their understanding of ethical principles and decision-making frameworks
  • Facilitate ethics committee meetings and ensure follow up on recommendations
  • Prepare reports on ethics-related activities and outcomes for PHCC leadership

Qualification

  • Masters degree in Bioethics, Medical Ethics, Healthcare Ethics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • Clinical background (e.g., nursing, medicine, or allied health) is highly desirable. 

Experience & Knowledge Requirement

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical ethics, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in ethics consultation, policy development, and education

Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of ethical principles, frameworks, and regulations in healthcare
  • Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to address complex ethical issues
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
  • High level of integrity, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
