Job Purpose
- Reporting to Head of Commissioning NFXP Offshore, the Commissioning Mechanical Specialist is responsible for managing mechanical Commissioning during preparation and execution stage of NFXP Offshore Project to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
- Commissioning mechanical Specialist shall ensure that all his scope of work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards applicable.
Key Accountabilities
(Duties include but not limited to)
- Manage all execution of mechanical commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS and co-activities
- Ensure the test pack (leak test with N2/He and HOF) are fully documented and well executed
- Monitor and review the pre-com of critical safety valves (pre installation leak test performance)
- Be accountable for mechanical SECEs to be delivered as per performance standards (lifeboat, cranes, safety valves etc)
- Monitor the contractor piping activities using the OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© software (Integrated Commissioning And Progress System)
- Monitoring of VENDORS activities during commissioning (SAT, Punch list Closure, OTP etc)
- Maximize onshore commissioning activities vs offshore
- Make sure that the required commissioning mechanical spare parts and special tools are available and ready to use
- Lead execution for mechanical commissioning at site (onshore/ offshore) and keep commissioning execution committed to targets defined by the project management. Review and approval of Operational Test Procedures
- Ensure coordination and communication for site activities with other disciplines such as contruction, Hook up and Completion Team and SHE representative and provide technical support with contractor , quality, safety, planning, engineering and start up/ performance testing
- Review, approve and implement Commissioning system completion and commissioning technical documents prepared by EPC Contractor
- Ensure CONTRACTOR commissioning submitted all documents as per schedule and timely reviewed and approved in accordance with the EPC contract requirements.
- Review and propose mitigation for commissioning aspects of the Risk Management Plan and monitor the mitigation when defined
- Review all commissioning changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.
- Attend to meetings as required, mentor the trainees to develop their project skills and experience while being on site; Maintain a register of lessons learned
