About the job 15.7.60 - SR. MECHANICAL ENGINEER (MATERIALS & CORROSION)
- Have minimum 15 years relevant post graduate experience in Oil & Gas Industry, of which 10 years should be related to Material & Corrosion Engineering.
- Must be an Expert / Specialist in Material Selection & Corrosion management, particularly in Wet-Sour service/applications.
- Have worked in at least 2 major Greenfield EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning) and Brownfield projects for Offshore Oil & Gas central Processing Platform (CPP) and Gas Compression facilities.
- Have PMT / PMC experience and able to manage EPIC Contractors / Vendors in discipline related activities for large-scale Projects.
- Have experience in working with Shell DEPs and MESC.
- Able to review and approve technical deliverables with respect to compliance to scope of work.
- Able to make recommendations for approval or rejection of technical deviations/Change Request with respect to approved guidelines, codes & standards.
- Able to resolve technical challenges related to Material & Corrosion discipline and liaise with other relevant disciplines and external stakeholders.
- Have experience in Internal/external coating & painting, cathodic protection, corrosion monitoring & knowledge of welding of equipment, piping and structural steel requirements
- Corrosion assessments of equipment and piping against H2S, CO2, Chlorides etc. and other elemental threats to metallic and non-metallic materials
- Have experience of Non-Metallic materials, including GRP piping system and design for offshore facilities and able to apply good engineering practices and design as per SHELL DEP and applicable Codes/Standards.
