Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Technician with a strong background in Oil & Gas projects, both onshore and offshore. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining a wide range of telecom and ELV systems. Offshore experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecom systems, including:
• Structured Cabling Systems (Cat6/Cat6A/FTTH)
• Fiber Optic Communication Systems (splicing, OTDR testing, termination)
• TETRA Radio Systems
• VHF/UHF Radios
• CCTV Surveillance Systems
• Access Control Systems (ACS)
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per Oil & Gas standards.
• Support commissioning teams during project handover and SAT/FAT procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards during all site activities.
• Prepare technical reports, update work logs, and coordinate with supervisors/engineers.
• Provide support during shutdowns, offshore rotations, and emergency call-outs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunications).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Oil & Gas telecom maintenance and installation.
• Mandatory offshore experience with valid offshore certificates (e.g., BOSIET, HUET).
• Strong knowledge of network cabling standards and fiber optic systems.
• Hands-on skills in radio communication systems – TETRA, VHF, UHF.
• Experience in CCTV and Access Control installation and configuration.

Preferred Certifications

• Fiber Optic splicing/testing certification.
• CCTV/ACS vendor certifications.
• Radio communication system training (TETRA/VHF/UHF).
• Safety certifications (H2S, PTW, First Aid).
