About the job Head of Communications

I. Key Responsibilities:

A. Communication & Public Relations

  • Develop and manage overall PR strategies for Mekong Capital.
  • Identify and improve key messages we want to share with audiences like investors, potential partners, and talent.
  • Handle our branding and communication budgets and be ready to manage any media issues.
  • Keep our social media active and aligned with our brand.
  • Work closely with reporters and connect them with the right people when they need information or interviews.
  • Keep our website content updated and ensure it works well.
  • Regularly report what has been achieved each week.
  • Manage and update our collection of high-quality photos and videos.

B. Presentations

  • Create and maintain clear and visually impactful presentations used for:
    • Fundraising
    • Investor updates
    • Company pitch decks
  • Work with partners and directors to ensure the presentations match our messaging and branding.

C. Storytelling

  • Write Stories: Capture and write success stories, learnings, and how we apply our values and tools.
  • Share Stories Internally: Run internal events where the team can learn from each other.
  • Support Team Storytelling Skills: Help team members improve their storytelling through coaching and support.
  • Publish Stories Online: Post articles on our public blog to share our work with investors, future partners, and talent.
  • Maintain Story Library: Keep our internal story library organized so its easy for everyone to access and learn from

II. Key Requirements

  • At Least 10 years experience in Communications, Media, or PR and 5 years as Management Role
  • Inquisitive mindset with strong questioning and listening skills
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in maintaining accurate, up-to-date content across platforms
  • Skilled in creating professional visual materials and delivering clear, impactful messages
  • Strong PR capabilities, including media relations, press releases, and crisis communication
  • Confident communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to lead, support, and drive results together
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
