About the job Senior Finance Officer

Report to the Operations Director, the Senior Finance Officer is responsible for Mekong Capital to meet the highest standards of accounting management, financial reporting, cash management, risk management, and tax management. Meanwhile, the Senior Finance Officer commits to the successful implementation of these standards in Mekong Capital.

A. Key accountabilities:

1. Payroll, Taxes & Accounting works

The Senior Finance Officer will need to be able to manage the relationship and work performed by outsourced vendors to ensure accuracy and timeline.

2. Bonus System

Support the process to build the annual bonus system each year Propose/ Alert any in-appropriate or revision of the criteria and propose the alternative formula to management for their consideration and approval.

3. Cash Management and Cash Optimization

Cash Management and Cash Optimization by ensuring the optimal use of cash.

4. Develop and Maintain Financial Model; Accounting and Financial Reports

5. Review the yearly Budget and Monthly Forecast

6. Manage Monthly Accounts through the work of outsourced vendors

7. Review of Monthly Financial Reports

Review the monthly financial reports before submitting it to the Management Committee for review. The monthly management reports are to prepared against the approved budget, including clarification on variance and chart/visualized presentation.

8. Review of Annual Audited Reports

Review the annual audited reports which must be issued before the agreed deadline.

9. Maintain and Update Financial Model Monthly

Update the company's financial model to reflect the most up-to-date financial projections at least monthly (or when a significant event happens) or at request.

Update and review the master's long-term financial model for the company with the previous year and year-to-date results, and appropriate projection for the coming years, monthly and/or when significant events happen.

10. Review of Monthly Payments

Review and ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of all payments.

Perform necessary approval in the bank online system.

11. Credit Line for Mekong

Build up and strengthen Mekong's capability in obtaining credit line.

12. Risk Management

Ensure systematic risk management for Mekong, which minimize all risks that the Finance team are managing (cash risk, tax risk, fraud risk, etc.).

B. Key Requirements:

  • Strong background in managing internal finance functions with 5+ years experience. refer already play the role: Finance Business Partner
  • Experience in working with financial institutions is a bonus.
  • Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
