The Impact Project Manager (IPM) & Assistant to GM (Asst. GM) has overall responsibility for the Project Management of grant-funded projects that support HUSKs vision, where HUSK has been awarded funding from local or international donors and for supporting the General Manager in core operational and executive activities.

Salary Budget: ~1,500 - 1,700 USD Gross

I. Overall Responsibility

IPM/Asst. GM supports the General Manager (Vietnam) with the implementation of funded activities in project mode and supports the GM in strategic priorities, operations, and external relations.

II. Responsibilities include:

  1. The onboarding and implementation of projects, and the coordination of activities funded by the project, including coordination between Vietnam and Cambodia teams; assigning tasks and following up with the relevant departments (mostly Finance, Admin, Product Development, Field activities, Production & Sales).
  2. Relationship with grants donors and attending meetings and calls organised by grant donors; represents HUSK with grant partners and other co-beneficiaries or consortium partners.
  3. Preparation of the internal team briefing and assisting with training if necessary. IPM/Asst. GM liaises across all departments to ensure objectives are communicated and understood.
  4. Monitoring the achievement of projects and grant targets; following up on deliverables, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and timeline.
  5. Preparing reports and supporting documents for completion of the milestones in time and as per the objectives in the project or grant contract.
  6. Providing regular updates and reports to Management on the progress of the activities.
  7. Supporting the GM in strategic and operational priorities: managing calendar and meetings, tracking key tasks and follow-ups, and ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
  8. Collaborating with internal teams to build, standardize and refine operational processes, regulations and SOPs required for effective company management.
  9. Collecting and analyzing business data, consolidating periodic and ad-hoc reports (KPIs, dashboards, progress) for the GM and Board.
  10. Supporting internal teams with language/translation when dealing with international partners.
  11. Acting as liaison between GM, internal departments and external strategic partners, ensuring professional communication and strict confidentiality.
  12. Not a decision-making role, but authorized to monitor, follow up, and report on execution within assigned scope.

III. Skills required:

  • Strong project management and organisation skills, autonomous and self-starter, deadline-oriented, target-orientated
  • Attention to details
  • Business Ethics awareness, with strong Compliance culture
  • Team player, with excellent communication skills; ability to liaise internally with colleagues across the board in Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as international colleagues; liaise externally with agricultural stakeholders, research and scientific partners, and grant donors.
  • Ability to provide effective oral and written correspondence in English, proposals, reports and presentations
  • Financial literacy (mostly for budgeting purposes and project finance update reports).
  • Understanding of contract language and business / legal documentation
  • High-level analytical, synthesis and coordination skills to support GM effectively
  • Ability to multitask, think strategically, and support executive-level decision-making
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and strong stakeholder relationship-building skills

IV. Qualifications:

  • Masters level degree in business management, finance, engineering, agronomy or environment/ sustainability
  • Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English, other SE Asian languages valued
  • Experience: a minimum of 3 to 5 years in professional project management within a business sector, preferably directly involved with the agriculture, environmental sector or financial sector.
  • Knowledge of the Agriculture / Food/ Agri-business sector, and willingness to travel to provinces to visit projects, field demonstrations farms, and sites of field trials.
  • Experience of working with NGOs and the not-for-profit sector is a plus.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership is a strong advantage.
