Primary mission:

This role is oriented to the operations side of data. You’ll contribute to the infrastructure, configuration tuning, provisioning, monitoring, security and performance of the data platform resources and technologies. You’ll be integrated in the Data Platform tribe.

You will interact with Data Engineers and Infrastructure Engineers to understand data on infrastructure and logic sides.

Core activities:

Understand the main Data ops solutions we use currently using:

• Data Deployments (ETLs, APIs, Microservices, FAAS, SAAS, IAAS solution)

• Distributed Systems Deployment (Hadoop, Spark, Kubernetes)

• Automation, troubleshooting, performance, monitoring, networking, security and cost optimization.

• Apply DevOps practices and principles to your day-to-day work.

  Soft skills and competencies:

• Passion for learning new tools, languages and frameworks.

• Ability to be creative and innovation-minded, self-motivated and proactive.

• Fast adaptation to changing requirements and strong problem-solving skills.

• To work in a collaborative model, side by side with the business

• Fluency in English to work in a multi-cultural environment

  A plus with experience in any of the following technologies:

• Experience in Performance and Reliability of distributed environments and microservices

• OS administration: Windows, RedHat/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu or similar

• Network administration; TCP/IP, HTTP requests, routing, firewalling etc.

• Language skills: Powershell, Python, Bash, Sql and noSql

• Multi-cloud environments: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.

• CI/CD flows & tools: Jenkins, Azure Devops

• Application monitoring and alerting tools: Kibana, Grafana, Nagios Based monitoring tools.

  The following skill would be a plus:

• Experience in high traffic and distributed architectures: load balancing, queues or similar

• Notions of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, datalakes, Hive or similar

• Languages .net, Scala

• Experience in high traffic databases: SQL, NoSQL

• Experience with Azure Cloud and Microsoft Stack.

Experience:

• MS’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 2+ years’ experience in DevOps for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

• 2+ years’ experience in Azure Cloud Platform
