Primary mission:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead the infrastructure, configuration tuning, provisioning, monitoring, security and performance of the data platform resources and technologies. You’ll be integrated in the Data Platform domain.

You will interact with Data Engineers and DataOps Engineers to understand data on infrastructure and logic sides.

Leadership skills:

• Strategic vision and, being able to see the big picture, capacity to explain, educate and motivate his/her peers and reports.
• We seek for accountable people, capable of taking decisions, convince and taking responsibility on them.
• Establishing guides, processes and routines and promote them.

Seniority required about:

• High performance architecture for streaming and batch processing solutions.
• Data modeling and Data driven solutions architecture.
• Experience in Performance and Reliability of distributed environments and microservices
• Experience in Agile methodology

Preferred Background:

• Infrastructure team leadership on production.
• Demonstrable capability on designing complex architecture solutions and deploying infrastructure.

Experience:

• MS’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in Big Data Frameworks
• 4+ years’ experience in DevOps for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• 4+ years’ experience in Cloud Platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Technical stack:

• Languages (required): Bash, Python, SQL
• Languages (appreciated): Scala, Java, .NET, PowerShell
• IaC: Terraform (required), Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet or Chef
• Big Data Frameworks Operations: Databricks (required), Cloudera, Snowflake
• Database operations: relational (SQL Server) & non-relational (MongoDB, ELK, Cassandra)
• Cloud operation: Azure (required), AWS or GCP (appreciated)
• OS administration: Windows, RedHat/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu or similar
• Network administration; TCP/IP, HTTP requests, routing, firewalling
• CI/CD flows & tools: Azure DevOps (required), Jenkins
• Monitoring and alerting tools: Azure Monitoring, ELK, Grafana, Nagios
• As a bonus, knowledge in Machine Learning tools (Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Spark ML, MLflow, …)
