Job description

The role of the Data Domain Tech Lead in the loyalty program of Lidl Plus, from now on Lidlplus, corresponds to the management and coordination of the technical teams in the Data Domain. These teams include both the Data Platform and Data Management teams. This role combines a deep understanding of Data and Cloud technologies with a senior profile in people management.

These are the functions associated with this position:

  • Definition and surveillance of coding standards and best practices. Provide a set of standards and good practices in the ingestion, modelling, and consumption of data to ensure a standard of quality in the domain.
  • Supervision of incident resolution. Management of incidents of the products developed by the unit, helping to identify the possible sources of the error and their resolution.
  • Team development. Management of the team, 1 to 1 interviews, identification and management of training needs, holidays, and permits, identification and resolution of conflicts, as well as the organization of activities to promote the cohesion of the group.
  • Recruitment of team members. Identification of the need for new additions, management of the search for profiles with suppliers, universities, and network of contacts. Screening of candidates, management of interviews, and monitoring of the incorporation process.
  • Technical dialogue with other teams. Carry out activities to accompany the business managers of the unit in conversations, presentations, or meetings with members of other teams, either from the same domain, as from other domains or from other parts of the organization of the Schwarz group.

Experience:

  • MSs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience managing high performance teams with agile methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience in Big Data Frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience in Cloud Platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Technological stack (you don't have to know all of them):

Programming Languages: Bash, Python, SQL, Scala, Java, .NET, PowerShell

Big Data Frameworks Operations: Databricks, Snowflake

Database operations: relational (SQL Server) & non-relational (MongoDB, ELK, Cassandra)

Cloud operation: Azure, AWS or GCP

CI/CD flows & tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins

Monitoring and alerting tools: Azure Monitoring, ELK, Grafana, Nagios

As a bonus, knowledge in Machine Learning tools (Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Spark ML, MLflow, )
