Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operation Staff to oversee and manage our sea freight logistics operations in Semarang. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth handling of cargo from origin to destination, supervise the operations team, coordinate with stakeholders, optimize processes, and resolve operational issues to guarantee timely and accurate shipment delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management: Oversee daily sea freight activities, including cargo handling, loading, unloading, and storage, ensuring adherence to safety standards and damage prevention.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sea freight operations team, provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a high standard of productivity and compliance.

Process Improvement: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Issue Resolution: Address and resolve operational challenges such as shipment delays, documentation errors, and cargo handling issues; escalate complex problems to the Operation Coordinator or Branch Manager when necessary.

Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal departments (logistics, warehousing, customer service, documentation) and external partners (shipping lines, freight forwarders, trucking companies, depots, customs authorities) to ensure seamless communication and operations.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sea freight operations comply with local, international, and company regulations, including safety and environmental standards.

Reporting: Prepare and analyze operational performance reports, track key metrics, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in sea freight logistics

Proven operational leadership skills in managing sea freight activities effectively.

Proficiency with logistics management systems and operational software.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.

In-depth knowledge of international sea freight regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.

Familiarity with best practices in sea freight operations and compliance standards.
