Position Overview
The RTG Supervisor MSA is responsible for supervising and coordinating all maintenance and repair activities for RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry) equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability. This role includes preventive and corrective maintenance execution, troubleshooting, team development, documentation, and compliance with technical standards and safety procedures. The position also plays a critical role in evaluating and improving work processes, providing coaching to RTG technicians, and ensuring alignment with operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Operational Execution
- Supervise and ensure the execution of maintenance activities for RTG units, including periodic, preventive, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and unit modifications.
- Prepare and communicate detailed Work Instructions to RTG technicians to ensure high-quality and standardized maintenance practices.
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is properly updated and maintained, including Machine Condition Reports (MCR).
- Respond to service complaints related to RTG performance and coordinate corrective actions.
- Verify technician requests for spare parts and consumables to ensure quantity, part number, and specification accuracy.
Training & Culture Building
- Conduct regular team briefings related to maintenance plans and realization.
- Provide coaching and training to less experienced RTG personnel to build competence and ensure quality execution.
- Evaluate and improve work processes using 5R (Ringkas, Resik, Rapi, Rawat, Rajin) and K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) principles.
- Encourage team motivation and maintain a productive work environment in the RTG maintenance unit.
Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis
- Monitor and reduce repetitive repairs and unscheduled maintenance through improved preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
- Submit proposals for training, critical spare parts, work facilities, and equipment improvements based on operational needs.
- Coordinate maintenance scheduling based on priorities and ensure availability of necessary tools, parts, and resources.
Decision-Making & Coordination
- Take appropriate action to stop equipment operations in case of hazardous conditions.
- Recommend plans for unit repair/modification and suggest improvements aligned with operational and safety standards.
- Coordinate internally with Technical Manager, Operations, Admin & Planning, Warehouse, and Operator Supervisors, as well as externally with BKI, Pelindo Equipment, and maintenance vendors.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate/Diploma degree (D1, D2, D3, or D4) in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role or industry.
