Position Overview

Compliance & QSHE Lead

The Compliance & QSHE Lead is responsible for ensuring Terminal Nusantaras operations comply with all relevant regulatory, quality, safety, health, and environmental standards. This role combines strategic oversight of compliance frameworks and operational audits with hands-on QSHE program implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Operational Audit

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance and internal audit programs to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Conduct operational audits focusing on key terminal and depot performance metrics and SOP adherence.
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance across safety, environmental, and security areas, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Perform in-depth investigations of compliance breaches, inefficiencies, and suspected fraud; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure timely reporting to the Group Audit Head and Terminal Nusantara MD.
  • Serve as the main liaison for external and internal audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements.

QSHE Management

  • Implement and monitor QSHE policies, procedures, and management systems across terminal and depot operations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure hazard identification, mitigation planning, and emergency preparedness.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; document findings and implement preventive actions.
  • Lead emergency response planning and coordinate periodic drills to maintain readiness.

Training & Culture Building

  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance staff awareness and compliance with QSHE and audit protocols.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety and compliance through engagement, communication, and continuous learning initiatives.

Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis

  • Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks to collect and analyze operational and QSHE-related data.
  • Generate actionable insights to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and compliance alignment.
  • Compile and submit regular reports on compliance and QSHE performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Business, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in terminal/depot operations, compliance, or QSHE management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (local and international) related to health, safety, environment, and operational audits.
  • Proven experience conducting internal audits and driving performance-based improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications in HSE, ISO, or audit (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NEBOSH) are a plus.
