Position Overview:
This position responsible for overseeing acquisition, sales, and scrapping of vessels and non-vessel assets. This involves action for strategic planning, market analysis, managing relationships with related parties, negotiating contracts, ensuring optimal acquisition of assets, and ensuring compliance with the regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new markets for second-hand vessels, new buildings, and offshore assets (including dry bulk carriers, container vessels, oil tankers, chemical carriers, LPG/LNG vessels, etc.).
- Conduct professional evaluation of the market value of vessels to support decision-making processes for buyers and sellers.
- Negotiate terms and contracts for the purchase and sale of vessels.
- Evaluate vessels for scrapping based on their condition, market value, regulatory compliance and the company fleet requirements.
- Oversee the acquisition and sale of non-vessel assets (such as equipment, spare parts etc.).
- Oversee the import of vessels, import permit & clearance, flag changing, and other related matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, Sellers/Buyers, service providers, in order to facilitate smooth transactions and optimal terms for the company.
- Ensure all transactions comply with legal and industry standards (including import/export procedures, insurance, and crew arrangements, etc.).
- Manage expenditure and ensure cost-effective procurement and sales strategy, and also develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the company's financial health and market position.
- Approve or reject vessel purchases/sales based on market research, cost analysis, ship assessment, and profit potential.
- Determine negotiation strategies to secure the best possible price and terms for vessel acquisitions and disposals.
- Address potential issues and delays that may arise during the Sale & Purchase process.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related field with solid experience
- Proficient in English, verbal & written
- Willing to be placed at Head Office, Surabaya
