Responsibilities
- Bunker Procurement:
- Assist to negotiate and secure competitive pricing for marine fuels from suppliers.
- Assist to develop and maintain strong relationships with fuel suppliers, traders, and brokers.
- Monitor market trends and fuel prices to optimize procurement strategies.
- Supply Chain Management:
- Coordinate the logistics of fuel delivery, including scheduling, transportation, and storage.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of bunkers to vessels at various ports.
- Manage inventory levels and anticipate demand to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the quality of marine fuels, ensuring compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 8217).
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of fuel samples to verify quality and specifications.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues or disputes with suppliers or customers.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all bunkering operations comply with local, national, and international regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices.
- Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide accurate and timely information on fuel availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare regular reports on bunkering activities, including fuel consumption, costs, and savings.
- Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management for optimizing bunkering operations.
