Position Overview:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement and storage of goods and parts within the ship management environment. This includes managing incoming goods, coordinating their transfer to vessels, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring operational efficiency across the logistics process. The position requires strong coordination between departments and the ability to present data and reports to the General Manager and Ship Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming goods and parts, ensuring they are properly tracked and recorded.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods between shore and vessels, working closely with the ship manager and other department heads.
  • Maintain and update logistical records to ensure data accuracy.
  • Report regularly to the General Manager and Ship Manager on logistics activities, challenges, and performance.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend operational enhancements to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards regarding logistics and inventory control.
  • Work cross-functionally with the purchasing, warehouse, workshop, and operational teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or similar role (maritime experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and logistics software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Willing to be placed at Surabaya.
