Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting all operations and projects through the preparation and analysis of annual business plans, quarterly forecasts, and life-of-mine/project plans, providing consolidated group budgets/forecasts/plans. Conducts in-depth analysis of operational performance, focusing on costs, capital expenditure, and production targets, and updates forecasts in line with performance changes. Provides financial support for evaluating and optimizing new projects and collaborates with various departments to establish and monitor performance KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all operations and projects with annual business plans, quarterly forecasts, life of mine/project plans, and analysis, and provide a consolidated group budget/forecast/life of mine/project plan.
  • Perform detailed analysis of the business plans and forecast against previous models and actual data to ensure the current model is realistic and reliable.
  • Monitor ongoing operational performance, emphasizing costs, capital expenditure, and production targets, and update forecasts to reflect revised performance.
  • Support project teams in developing financial models to evaluate new projects and support them in optimizing financial results.
  • Work with various departments to agree on KPIs to measure performance. Implement systems to ensure information is captured and reported on a timely basis.
  • Liaise with operations, project teams, site/project cost control, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (or above) degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 15 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position; exposure to mining or constructions would be an advantage.
  • Understands and can develop business models based on various cost drivers and inputs; familiar with key financial indicators.
  • Being able to work with tight deadlines, dynamic work environments, and new challenges
  • Critical thinking, analysis, and reasoning are a must.
  • Hands-on individuals and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Highest personal standard of behavior, acting with ethics and integrity.
