About the job Joint Venture Partnership
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Joint Venture Partnership Assistant Manager / Manager (China desk) to join our team. As a Joint Venture Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing partnerships with our downstream industry partners. This is a full-time position and the ideal candidate must be fluent in Mandarin to effectively communicate with our Chinese partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with JV partners in the Company's downstream industry.
- Negotiate and manage joint venture agreements and contracts.
- Cross-functional coordination (operations, technical, HSE & Sustainability, Legal & Compliance) to ensure execution of operational priorities and resolution of critical issues.
- Monitor operational performance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across smelter assets (HPAL, RKEF).
- Explore & support business development initiatives, particularly with Chinese partners, including opportunity evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic collaboration development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics related degree (preferred) or finance/economics/business degree with operational exposure
- Min. 5 years of working experience at PMO Office / CEO Office, data analytics, operational execution or related fields. Experiences in China (affiliated) company / Chinese related projects preferred.
- Strong business acumen about energy industry (mining/ smelter/ chemicals/ power); strong grasp of financials (scenario analysis, cost structure)
- Fluent (Professional business level) in Mandarin (HSK 5) and English, both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel as needed to our sites: Morowali (1x /month)
