Ideal Candidates:

The Cost Control Specialist role is responsible for supporting and overseeing cost management activities to ensure financial efficiency in respective operations or projects. Identifying capex/opex requests and cost spending and assisting in implementing cost-saving strategies while ensuring compliance with company policies and targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial and business performance insights to support management decision-making.
  • Fluent in budget detail, able to determine normal/standard costs, and able to investigate variances of actual costs to budgets by breaking down more detail to cost elements and categories as necessary.
  • Analyze whether the capex or opex proposal or request from other departments is reasonable, justifiable, and aligned with operational necessity and within the approved budget.
  • Monitor and analyze cost trends, identify opportunities for efficiency, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support and work closely with relevant departments to ensure all costs are executed and monitored and spending is within the approved proposal or budget.
  • Support process improvements to strengthen internal controls, increase efficiency, and enhance financial governance.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in one of the following fields: finance, accounting, management, economics, or information systems.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting, management reporting, cost control, project management, financial analysis, or a related field.  Experience in a multinational company for at least 2 years is preferred. for at least 2 years is preferred. 
  • Experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm for at least 2 years is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP or Pronto) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
