Summary:
The CSR & Community Development Manager at PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk will be a strategic leader responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive corporate social responsibility programs that align with the company's mission, values, and brand image. This role will oversee CSR initiatives across all sites and subsidiaries, driving sustainable community development and enhancing stakeholder engagement to create long-term social impact.
This role aims to elevate the company's commitment to social responsibility by developing and implementing strategic programs that address critical community needs, promote environmental sustainability, and drive economic development. This role will strategically engage with local communities, government entities, and stakeholders to ensure that CSR practices reflect best practices, create measurable social impact, and support the company's long-term business goals.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in corporate social responsibility, community development, or sustainability, as well as strategic leadership skills. They will have extensive analytical and strategic leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The candidate should have a strong commitment to social impact and strategic thinking skills to drive initiatives that are consistent with the company's brand image and operational strategies, as well as a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. A strong strategic mindset, combined with a desire for social impact, will be required to drive innovative and effective CSR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the PPM/CSR program based on social mapping; collaborate with site teams and external stakeholders, address grievances, provide regular reports, and work with ESDM on performance reporting and stakeholder engagement, including frequent site visits.
- Design and implement innovative CSR programs that focus on community development in education, health, and economic empowerment, ensuring alignment with the company's brand image.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CSR principles into business operations, fostering a culture of corporate responsibility throughout the organization.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to identify needs, opportunities, and collaborative solutions.
- Develop metrics and frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of CSR programs, utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance program outcomes.
- Position the company as a leader in CSR by ensuring participation in relevant awards and rankings, enhancing the company's public image and stakeholder trust.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed CSR principles into business operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Led and mentored a dedicated CSR team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability in executing CSR initiatives.
- Serve as the company's spokesperson at CSR-related events, conferences, and forums, advocating for social responsibility and promoting the company's commitment to community development.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in social sciences, environmental studies, business administration, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience managing CSR programs, preferably in the mining industry. It would be advantageous to have a strong ESDM network.
- Excellent knowledge of CSR best practices, community development frameworks, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Have exceptional analytical skills and a track record of using data to make informed decisions and plan strategically.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required to engage a diverse audience.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and frameworks governing corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
- Willingness to work in SCBD, South Jakarta, under a full WFO arrangement.
