The Tax Senior Manager leads all tax group compliance and audit processes, acting as the primary liaison with tax authorities to ensure successful outcomes. This role is crucial in developing and implementing Group tax strategies to optimize the tax position and ensure full regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on the mining industry. Responsibilities include frequent mine site visits and identifying and mitigating tax risks. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of tax group compliance, including the preparation and filing of various tax returns (e.g., SPT).
  • Lead and manage the tax audit process, serving as the primary point of discussion with tax authorities and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Conduct frequent mine site visits to understand operational and discussion with site tax office.
  • Develop and implement the Group tax strategies to optimize tax position while ensuring full compliance with all regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly those impacting the mining industry.
  • Provide tax advice and support for corporate restructuring initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including finance and operations to be in line with tax objective.
  • Identify and mitigate existing tax risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or tax certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in tax management, with a significant portion in the mining industry.
  • Proven operational experience, including mine operation Company.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a group/company structure.
  • Strong expertise in tax compliance (e.g., SPT) and tax audit management, with a priority given to candidates with extensive tax audit experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel frequently to various operational sites.
  • Preferably has experience with corporate restructuring.
