The ideal candidate for this role is a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in regulatory compliance and licensing within the industrial sector, preferably with experience in mining and industrial operations. They possess a deep understanding of Indonesian regulations and a proven ability to navigate complex bureaucratic processes. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at building and maintaining relationships with government agencies and internal stakeholders. They are proactive, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively navigate the regulatory landscape and ensure the Merdeka Group's continued compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage fulfilling all licensing requirements for companies holding Industrial Business Licenses under Merdeka Group.
- Conduct thorough compliance assessments and ensure alignment with government regulations.
- Assess government regulations and policies that impact the operational activities of IUI companies within Merdeka Group.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant government agencies.
- Manage user ID access and oversee online licensing submissions through government systems.
- Monitor compliance and license eligibility for Port Logistics daily operations (e.g., Ship, Crew Certificates, and other permits for Port and Exim activities).
- Manage and follow up on export-import permits (e.g., PI Besi & Baja, PI Ban, PI B2, etc.).
- Manage and expedite export-import permits, AMDAL, UKL-UPL, and other critical permits.
- Update and adapt to new regulations from Customs, MOI, MOT, Ministry of Transportation, and relevant ministries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Law, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance and licensing, specifically within the Indonesian copper and gold mining sector.
- Proven expertise in compliance, licensing, or regulatory affairs, ideally in the industrial sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian regulations and policies related to industrial business licenses.
- A solid understanding of mining operations, mineral processing, and related technical aspects to effectively assess compliance and identify potential risks.
- Familiarity with updating regulations from Customs, BKPM (Investment Coordinating Board), MOI, MOT, and Ministry of Transportation, and liaising with related ministries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with government officials, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community representatives, and industry associations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a full-time Work from Office (WFO) setting.
