Summary:
The Assistant Manager of Finance Operations is a key role within the finance department, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance and tax function. This position involves managing a team of finance professionals, ensuring the implementation of finance and treasury policy, and implementing financial policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager will also play a supporting role in special projects and will also deal with banks and other regulatory bodies.
Main Accountabilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance and tax department, including accounts payable verifications, payments, cash and liquidity management, cash flow forecasts, bank relationships, tax calculation, compliance, and reporting.
- Manage a team of finance and tax professionals and ensure their effective performance.
- Implement financial and tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company regulations and accounting standards.
- Manage the verification process and scheduling of payment to suppliers.
- Prepare and review various reports in connection with finance, treasury, and tax.
- Manage the tax calculation and reporting process to ensure that the company is in compliance with prevailing tax regulations and to minimize tax exposure.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Prepare and review cash flow forecasts to identify funding requirements for the company.
Participate in special projects as required. - Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to tax regulations and banking regulations.
- Continuously improve finance and tax department processes and systems.
- Execute projects assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least a minimum of 6 years of experience in finance operations. Experience in a multinational company for at least 2 years is preferred.
- Has a strong understanding of banking and taxation regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP or Pronto).
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
