Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure Health & Safety (OHS) compliance and performance across all operations and site.
• Implement and continuously improve standardized Health & Safety systems, policies, and procedures
• Provide expert guidance and support to site management, project teams, and contractors on OHS matters
• Monitor, analyze, and report Health & Safety performance, including leading indicators and incident data
• Lead and manage incident reporting, classification, and investigation processes, including serious incidents
• Plan and execute Health & Safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the organization
• Develop and implement internal and external audit programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards
• Lead emergency response preparedness and ensure effective implementation across sites
• Design and coordinate Health & Safety training and awareness programs to support operational teams
• Conduct regular site visits to support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and manage the Health & Safety team to achieve organizational safety objectives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties, including contractors and regulatory authorities, to drive a strong safety culture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Processing, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety roles within mining, construction, petroleum, or processing industries
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial level role, preferably in site-based operations
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety systems, including technical, operational, and administrative principles
• Proven capability in conducting complex incident investigations
• Experience in performing safety and risk-based inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders
