Job Summary:
The Stock Clerk is responsible for managing inventory, receiving and organizing stock, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in a warehouse, retail, or organizational environment. This role supports smooth operations by maintaining orderly storage areas, tracking inventory levels, and assisting with the movement and distribution of goods. The Stock Clerk ensures that products are properly handled, documented, and available for use or sale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.

  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring items are properly labeled and accessible.

  • Monitor inventory levels, perform stock counts, and maintain accurate records in inventory management systems.

  • Pick, pack, and prepare items for distribution, shipping, or delivery according to operational requirements.

  • Assist with inventory audits and report discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in storage areas and stockrooms.

  • Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates or product shelf life when applicable.

  • Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and purchasing staff to ensure timely supply and inventory accuracy.

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.

  • Follow organizational policies and procedures for inventory management, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in stock handling, inventory management, or warehouse operations preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory control procedures and stock management systems.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move stock safely and efficiently.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tracking and documenting inventory.

  • Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Familiarity with material handling equipment and warehouse safety practices.

  • Good communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors.
