We are looking for a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to specialize in the design and implementation of electrical power and control systems for critical infrastructure. Your work will ensure the safe, stable, and efficient delivery of power within nuclear facilities, manufacturing plants, and generation stations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, specify, and engineer electrical systems including medium/low voltage power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), protective relaying, and emergency power systems.
- Develop system layouts, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics using CAD software.
- Perform electrical system studies, including short-circuit, load flow, arc flash, and coordination analyses using tools like ETAP or SKM.
- Program and configure PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and other control system hardware for industrial automation.
- Prepare technical procurement specifications for electrical equipment and provide vendor oversight.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, CSA, NFPA).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 5+ years of direct experience in electrical systems design, preferably for nuclear, utility, or large industrial clients.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong background in control system logic, instrumentation, and PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram).
- Must be able to obtain necessary security clearances.
