Build the Foundation for Safety and Reliability
We are recruiting a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to ensure the structural integrity of nuclear facilities, including reactor buildings, containment structures, and secondary support buildings. Your analysis will be critical to licensing and long-term operational safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures subjected to heavy loads, seismic events, and other extreme conditions.
- Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software to model complex structures and validate their performance to codes including ACI, AISC, and ASCE 7.
- Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings for nuclear infrastructure projects.
- Evaluate existing structures for renovation or upgrade projects and develop strengthening solutions.
- Provide field support during construction, including review of contractor submittals and resolution of design-related issues.
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to design and analyze foundations.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Requirements):
- Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; PE license and SE license are highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with a strong preference for nuclear, power, or heavy industrial project experience.
- Advanced proficiency with FEA software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ANSYS) and AutoCAD/Revit.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes and standards, with specific experience in seismic analysis and design.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
