JOB/ROLE DESCRIPTION AND STAFF ONBOARDING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Job Title: Accounts Administrator Job Category: Non-Supervisory Responsibilities: Maintain financial records: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, using appropriate accounting software or tools. Process invoices and payments: Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensure proper coding, and process payments in a timely manner, adhering to internal procedures and policies. Reconcile accounts: Perform regular bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and other account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or errors. Assist in month-end and year-end close processes: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end financial closing activities. Maintain confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality and adhere to data protection and privacy regulations. Administrative support: Assist with general administrative tasks, such as reconciliation and running sheets management, asset schedules. Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Proven experience working in an accounting or finance role, with exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, such as Xero, Excel, or other similar applications. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to financial transactions. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
