About the job Project Accountant

Role objective and scope:

Provide administrative services for the Commercial team as

required; resolve client (internal/external), suppliers queries

regarding invoices, purchase orders etc

Responsibilities include:

Organise information into reports and databases (MRMS /

JDE).

Maintain and update accurate records in relevant archiving

and filing systems.

Understand the relationships between systems, the data

they house and function they perform.

Preparation of ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Raising invoices.

Review own work for accuracy.

Adhere to governance and compliance requirements

associated with executing above tasks.




2 years prior experience in a commercial accounting or

professional practice role.

Experience in the application of International Financial

Reporting Standards

Accounting or Finance tertiary qualification (degree).
Working towards Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or
Chartered Accountant (CA) Program or equivalent.

Sound computer skills - MS Office Suite particularly Word
and Excel.
Competence in working with an Accounting package
(preferably JDE)
Very competent written and verbal communication skills
(English).
Have the ability and confidence to build good working
relationships and rapport with a wide range of colleagues.
E.g. Site based personnel, client representatives, back-
office staff and immediate team members
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish team goals
and seek assistance as required
Ability to self-manage to ensure that work is completed
efficiently, and deadlines are met
Strong logic based problem solving skills and financial
analysis skills e.g. preparing financial spreadsheets,
analyzing costs and interpreting data
Sets high standards of performance and accuracy
