Your Role:

As a 3D Artist, you will be responsible for:

• Importing meshes, textures & animations into Blender
• Adding realistic Bevels to the sharp angles of hard surfaces
• Creating and maintaining a material asset library
• Enhancing meshes with additional detail (bevels, threads, smoothing groups, normals)
• Creating Parent-Child hierarchies for moving components
• Drawing meshes based on basic measurements and pictures that are provided
• Splitting & Merging meshes to make them suitable for use in a Game Engine
• Instancing repeating meshes to reduce mesh count and avoid overhead
• UV Unwrapping Meshes for Light Maps and Texturing
• Assigning materials using a standardized material asset library or custom textures

What You Need:
Non-negotiables

• Basic knowledge of industrial design principles
• Basic knowledge of Game Engine requirements
• Good knowledge of Blender (www.blender.org) software, focused on the following areas:
  • Hard Surface Modelling
  • Plugins like Machin3 Tools and Normal Magic
  • Efficient use of modifiers & instanced meshes
  • UV unwrapping & texturing
  • Normal Map Baking
  • (Geometry Nodes & animation)
