Your Role:

As a Outside Plant Engineer, you will:

• Develop and manage detailed project plans from initial design through final completion.
• Drive all construction phases, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Complete job site walkouts and facilitate project meetings to ensure site readiness.
• Create comprehensive Project Packets including maps, site images, and technical supporting files.
• Monitor project quality and safety standards to meet customer deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot field problems and system faults as they arise during the construction lifecycle.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Outside Plant (OSP) engineering or telecom construction.
• Expert knowledge of aerial and underground network assets and infrastructure planning.
• Proficiency in mapping and project documentation, including the ability to compile technical Project Packets.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to master custom engineering software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead site walkouts and manage high-volume construction schedules.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Hands-on experience with network inventory management and asset tracking.
• Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems in a varied work environment.
• Strong commitment to day-to-day safety protocols and quality control.
• Ability to coordinate effectively between field teams and corporate mastec resources.
• Experience managing long-term, large-scale infrastructure projects.
