About the Role:

The Digital Production / Developer should be accountable for building production-ready coded digital display assets from approved creative masters, specifications and supplied content. This is a digital production role, not a web developer role, and should focus on repeatable, technically accurate display asset delivery.

 

The preferred profile is experience in HTML5 banner production, digital advertising specifications and production QA, with working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Experience with ad-serving platforms, dynamic creative tools or digital asset management systems is desirable. Basic video editing is preferred.

As an Digital Production / Developer, you will:

• Building HTML5 display banners and other approved coded digital display assets from supplied design masters and content.

• Translating approved static or animated creative into the required digital formats, dimensions and platform specifications.

• Applying approved copy, imagery, calls to action, animation behaviours and interaction requirements without changing the approved creative direction.

• Using appropriate HTML, CSS and JavaScript, or the relevant platform tools, to produce reliable and lightweight digital assets.

• Managing asset weight, loading behaviour, file structure, naming conventions and technical specifications.

• Testing assets across required sizes, browsers, devices and environments where applicable.

• Completing quality checks for links, animation, timing, legibility, accessibility and technical compliance.

• Preparing final coded files, source files, previews and production notes for Optus, media or nominated partners.

• Escalating requests that require new creative concepts, complex web development, advanced interactive experiences or changes to approved messaging.

What You Need

Non-negotiables :

• Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.

• 3+ years' experience in digital production, HTML5 banner development or digital advertising production.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Experience with ad-serving platforms and digital asset management workflows.

• Strong understanding of digital advertising specifications, QA processes and accessibility requirements.

• Experience producing responsive and lightweight digital assets.

• Basic video editing capability preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting and quality control skills.
