About the job Director of Finance and Internal Control (Senior)
Job Responsibilities
This role will serve as the internal owner of the practices financial
operations and reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring
financial accuracy, visibility, and operational readiness to support
sustainable growth.
Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations
using QuickBooks Online
Reconcile financial data across EMR, banking platforms, and
accounting systems
Ensure accuracy of accounts receivable and accounts payable,
including oversight of third-party billing or accounting vendors
Analyze insurance-based and cash-based cases to determine
profitability by procedure and payer
Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and
summaries for leadership decision-making
Identify and resolve discrepancies between collections,
payments, and reported revenue
Assist in developing pricing estimates and financial models
where no formal chargemaster exists
Establish and document financial SOPs and workflows
Support practice-wide operational SOP development, including
front desk and administrative processes
Partner with leadership to identify financial risks, inefficiencies,
and growth opportunities
Prepare the practice for scalability through improved financial
structure and controls
Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and
financial analysis
Proficiency with EMR/EHR financial modules, payment
processors, online banking platforms, payroll systems, and
workflow/documentation tools in addition to QuickBooks
Online, Excel, and Power BI.
Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into
actionable insights
Comfortable working in multi-system environments (EMR,
accounting software, bank platforms)
Strong documentation and Financial Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP) - building skills
Ability to work independently and manage complex,
evolving systems in a fast-moving, evolving environment
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or
financial operations
Previous experience in healthcare, medical practices, or
revenue cycle environments preferred
Experience reconciling financial data across multiple
systems
Experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses or
professional practices
Prior involvement in scaling or stabilizing fast-growing
organizations is a strong plus
