Job Responsibilities

Describe the job role and the day to day tasks involved.

• Create CNC cutting programs using CAD/CAM software. • Troubleshoot programming issues raised by production. • Keep program & cutting list current.

• Continuous improvement: Improve programming process & get regular feedback from the production team to improve programming efficiency and the work results.

• Propose design changes based on manufacturing capabilities. • Support engineering/methods teams with technical input on manufacturability.

• Coordinate with engineering, methods & production teams. • Update, improve & revise products based on engineering changes.

• Execute 3D modeling and 2D drawings.

• Prepare fabrication drawings for our workshop.

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Describe the qualifications the staff must have in terms of skills and capabilities

• BS Mechanical Engineering or mechanical background. • Master the CAD/CAM software parameters.

• Laser cutting computer assistance manufacturing (CAM) experience.

• Background in manufacturing process.

• 3D Modeling / 2D Drawing.

• Relevant experience in SolidWorks.

• Microsoft Office.

• Press bending experience (an asset).

• Autocad (an asset).

Prior Experience

Describe the prior working experience a candidate should have.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing process, and mechanical experience related to steel and aluminum.

Performance Measurement How can we measure performance for this job profile (KPIs/Metrics/Targets)

Tasks are given with both target time spent in hours and a calendar delay. The performance is based on the respect of the timeline, quality of the methods used to complete the task and the respect of applicable process.

Working Hours

Describe the work schedule the staff will follow Eg. 9am-6pm AEST.

The working schedule is 8am-5pm EST

On site work only at Microsourcing’s office.

The training process spans over a 2 to 3 weeks period where the new employee is given internal processes to read, product training videos, and is also trained and followed by a project lead on how to accomplish mandates on a day-to-day basis.
