Your Role:
The Workforce Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that our staffing levels align perfectly with our operational demands. You will be the "puzzle master" of the organization, managing employee schedules, monitoring real-time adherence, and analyzing historical data to predict future staffing needs. Your goal is to maximize efficiency and service levels while maintaining a fair and balanced environment for our team members.
As a Workforce Scheduler you will:
- Schedule Optimization: Create and maintain weekly/monthly schedules for all staff, ensuring coverage meets projected volume and contractual requirements.
- Forecasting: Analyze historical trends (seasonal peaks, promotions, etc.) to predict future workload and staffing gaps.
- Time-Off Management: Review and process requests for PTO, leaves of absence, and shift swaps, ensuring operational integrity isn't compromised.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Track daily attendance and "in-the-moment" metrics to adjust staffing levels (e.g., calling in extra help or offering voluntary time off).
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on schedule adherence, labor costs, and utilization rates for leadership review.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the scheduling workflow and suggest automated or more efficient solutions.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
- 1-2 yrs of workforce scheduling
- Experience using Workforce Management (WFM) platforms.
- Ability to interpret spreadsheets and dashboard metrics to make informed scheduling decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate scheduling needs with store leadership and frontline employees.
- High accuracy in data entry to prevent payroll errors or compliance breaches.
