Purpose of the Role
The Retail Operations QA Monitoring analyst role is responsible for the proactive monitoring and review of live and recorded CCTV footage across United Petroleum's Australian retail fuel and convenience network. The role confirms compliance with approved store standards, safety requirements, and resourcing expectations to support consistent operational execution, risk mitigation, and customer experience outcomes.
Operating Context
United Petroleum has a team is based in the Philippines that operates as a fully integrated extension of the Australian business.
This role operates on a rotating shift roster to support 24x7 monitoring of United Petroleum's Australian retail operations. Shift patterns may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and Philippine public holidays to align with Australian trading hours and risk periods. Flexibility to work across rotating 24x7 shifts.
Key Accountabilities

- Review live and recorded CCTV footage across fuel forecourts, convenience stores, and back-of-house areas in line with approved monitoring protocols.
- Confirm staff presence, resourcing levels, and forecourt coverage in accordance with trading requirements.
- Validate store opening readiness, presentation standards, housekeeping, and customer service behaviours.
- Cross check observations with past compliance results to identify improvements
- Monitor high-risk trading periods including peak trade, night trade, and lone-worker scenarios.
- Identify, document, and escalate non-compliance with operational, safety, and brand standards.
- Prepare clear, factual, and objective CCTV review summaries and incident reports.
- Maintain accurate CCTV review logs, evidence registers, and supporting documentation.
- Support audits, investigations, and operational follow-ups by providing time-stamped CCTV observations.
- Identify recurring trends or systemic issues and escalate insights to support continuous improvement.
Key Selection Criteria, Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in retail operations, CCTV monitoring, security, compliance, or loss prevention.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to objectively assess operational compliance.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site retail environment.
- Strong written communication and reporting capability in English.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
