The Creative Lead – Art Direction & Copy role combines the responsibilities of Art Director Lead and Copywriter Lead to deliver high-quality creative concepts, visual design, and compelling copy across multiple platforms.
The position ensures brand consistency and strategic alignment for Minor Hotels Australasia marketing initiatives.

- WHAT YOU WILL DO
Accountable For:
Art Direction
- Conceptualisation: Lead the development of internally briefed visual concepts and rollout, in partnership with the Copywriting Lead, that align with the project's goals and objectives, adhering to our existing brand identities. Providing a high level of design execution, ensuring all work developed is to that of a global brand standard.
- Visual Direction: Select the visual elements of projects, including design direction (templates provided), photography, illustration, and videography for selects or the ability to source on brand imagery and videography if unavailable in our existing library.
- Motion Design: Skills in motion and animation design for the creation of motion led assets highly desired
- Design Oversight: Review and approve design work through our Canva approvals process and of Junior Designers, ensuring it adheres to the established creative direction and brand guidelines.
- Quality Control: Maintain high creative standards and be the owner of our key brand guidelines Stay updated on industry and design trends to inform future work.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, design trends, and emerging visual styles to inform future design work.
Copywriter
- Conceptualisation: Lead the development of internally briefed campaign messaging Create long and short-form copy decks for approved creative concepts, that aligns with the project's goals and objectives. All copy created needs to demonstrate a strong skillset in messaging mechanisms and align with provided brand voice guides across the businesses multiple brands.
- Copy Decks: Rollout of copy decks for both long and short form copy across approved creative concepts. The copy decks should cover the messaging matrix across the marketing funnel, as well as executions of copy required for media plan placements and internal assets eg. website landing pages.
- Long Form Copy: The creation of adhoc long form copywriting in line with brand voice guides for brands in market. Including but not limited to website copy (an understanding of SEO requirements highly regarded), blog copy, Room and Property copy for Distribution channels, scripts for audio based media, IVR and On Hold Scripts, EDM's, Sales and Marketing documents.

- Promptly report any WHS incidents to your manager or supervisor and complete a WHS Incident Report Form
- Comply with any lawful and reasonable direction or instruction given by Minor Hotels in respect of WHS matters.
- Comply with any reasonable policy or procedure of Minor Hotels regarding WHS matters.
- Be fully conversant with departmental fire and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Be aware of who your property first aiders are and the location of first aid equipment.
