Your role:
The Inventory Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal inventory management by leveraging advanced forecasting, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Excel and PowerBI to support organizational objectives. By driving data reporting for the S&OP process, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities, the role ensures alignment with budgetary goals and enhances supply chain resilience. These efforts contribute to the organization's strategic objectives by improving stock availability, minimizing costs, and supporting data-driven decision-making for sustained operational excellence.
Reports to: Regional Inventory Controller – QLD
Key Relationships: Key Suppliers, Sales Team – internal & external, Warehouse team/interstate teams, Office staff and Management, Business Development Managers, Branch Management.
Core responsibilities:
Perform stock and inventory forecasting where required for review and management of inventory stock holdings.
Reconcile stock issues and alert Management to relevant product categories for further action on stock issues.
Maintain reporting on relevant tasks including using excel and other company databases.
Extract and utilize PowerBI reports for daily task workflow and data visualization.
Drive forecasting and data analysis for relevant SKUs in branch S&OP Process.
Conduct regular meetings with relevant stakeholders for stocked items of concern.
Liaise with Sales team to better understand stock requirements and generate future pipeline forecasts.
Drive data analysis for regional S&OP process.
Review daily outstanding orders reports and related ordering reports to ensure finalization of purchase, production, and transfer orders
Ensure continuous improvement opportunities are identified and actioned through macro data and trend reporting.
Escalate potential supply issues to relevant key stake holders
Review budget, consumption and forecast data against incoming order data to maintain tracking of core departmental competencies and KPI's.
Identify through reporting and expedite the procurement of materials that are subject to customer backorders or are at risk of being in a stock out situation.
Monitor products in monthly report to ensure that supply chain settings are correct adjust for desired operational outcomes as directed by management.
Report on and track supplier DIFOT and delayed orders liaise with internal team for follow up and expedite with vendors where required.
Manage data and coordinate reviews of slow moving and obsolete stock and carry out agreed actions
Other key accountabilities appropriate to the banding of the position as determined by the manager of the role.
Liaise with Sales team to better understand stock requirements and generate future pipeline forecasts.
Plan and forecast consumption for offshore and local allocations in line with management directives.
Provide cost analysis and manage cost per kilo in line with opportunity costs and directives for optimum procurement.
